What this site collects, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.
This site collects very little. There is no analytics, no advertising, no social media tracking, and nothing on the page is loaded from a third-party server. The only personal data we receive is what you choose to send us through the contact form.
Who is responsible

What we collect
When you send a message through the contact form, we receive your name, your email address, the subject you selected, and the message itself. If you write to us about a particular object, we also record which object it was.
We ask for these because we cannot answer you without them. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us, and (where your message concerns a possible sale or collaboration) the steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
We do not ask for, and you should not send us, sensitive information: health, political or religious views, or payment card details.
What happens to it
Your message is stored on the site so that it is not lost if email delivery fails, and it is forwarded to our own mailbox. It is read only by the people at YUAN who handle enquiries. We do not sell it, rent it, or pass it to anyone else, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for one year after our last exchange with you, and then deleted. If a message leads to a contract, the related records are kept for as long as the law requires us to keep accounting documents.
Where it is stored
The site and its database are hosted in Switzerland by Infomaniak Network SA, Rue Eugène-Marziano 25, 1227 Les Acacias, Geneva, Switzerland, www.infomaniak.com. Switzerland is recognised by the European Commission as offering an adequate level of data protection, so no additional transfer safeguards are required for visitors in the European Union.
Email we send and receive is handled by our mail provider. If we ever move hosting or mail outside Switzerland or the European Economic Area, this page will say so before the move.
Cookies
The site sets one cookie, named pll_language. It remembers whether you are reading in English, 中文 or Français, so the site does not switch back on you between pages. It lasts one year, contains nothing but a language code, and is not used to identify or track you.
That is the only cookie. There is no analytics cookie, no advertising cookie, and no consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to. Additional cookies are set only if you log in to the site as an administrator, and those are strictly for keeping you signed in.
Server logs
Like every web server, ours records the address of each request, the time, and the browser that made it. These logs exist to keep the site running and to investigate abuse. They are kept by our host for a limited period and are not used to build any profile of you.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict what we do with it, or object to our using it at all. You can also ask for it in a portable form. Write to contact@yuan-living.com and we will answer within one month.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to your national data protection authority: in France the CNIL (www.cnil.fr), and in Switzerland the FDPIC (www.edoeb.admin.ch).
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published here. Where a change materially affects what we do with data we already hold, we will say so on this page rather than change it silently.
